Editorial policy
Global Living Journal aims to make domestic culture engaging without sanding away context. We write with care about what is known, what varies, and what a reader can reasonably take from an example.
Accuracy and context
We check factual claims against suitable, identifiable sources and review names, descriptions, and cultural context before publication. When a subject varies by place, community, or household, we say so instead of presenting one example as universal. We do not invent quotations, events, sources, or first-hand experience. If a point remains uncertain, we make that uncertainty clear or leave the claim out.
Independence and partnerships
Editorial decisions are made for relevance and clarity, not because a company or partner prefers a particular conclusion. Sponsored stories, paid placements, and partner material are clearly labelled so readers can tell how a piece came to appear. A commercial relationship does not turn an opinion into an editorial finding or guarantee positive coverage.
Corrections and illustrations
If a published story contains an error, readers can report it through the Contact page. We review credible correction requests, amend factual mistakes, and make significant changes clear in the story where appropriate. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where one is used, it will be identified as such and will not be presented as documentary evidence.
